need your opinion on "who else preaches like the JWs?"
by outsmartthesystem ini have a friend that has recently confided in me his doubts about the society being god's one and only organization.
his doubts run pretty deep.....but he is very much held in check by "but who else is preaching about the kingdom of god world-wide like jesus said"?
how would you combat that thinking?

I made it!! I'm just so freaking happy!!!
by Rocky_Girl inas some of you know, i started college 5 years ago for the first time at age 27. i had been out of the "truth" for 9 years at that time, but had just broken free of the mentality.
well, on saturday i walked across the stage with the 130th graduating class at rocky mountain college!.
after 5 years of working several jobs, taking care of two little boys as a single mom, and trying to get the most out of my college experience, i earned my master of accountancy, bachelor of science in business management, and minors in writing and organizational leadership.

Did You Believe You Recieved "Blessings" From Jehovah or "No Blessings" Because Of What You Did?
by minimus ini got a kick out of how many times jws were told that the reason something good happened to them was because they recieved "blessings" from jehovah god.
and if they were going through tribulations and tough times, it was quite probably due to their failing in some way.. did you believe jehovah wasw sometimes blessing you or cursing you?.

What was the best thing the WT did [for you]?

for me it was putting in the fm at the assemblies, now i could listen to interesting things like the cricket, footy, fishing, news, even music [if i kept the volume down] without looking suspicious, instead of all that..... sure you know the story.

i know of only one case where some type of justice was received from the watchtower society, why was justice received?
the woman who wrote the letter had been a very special pioneer, her letter was recieved and action took place.

Nothing positive will ever come from going over the elderberries heads, because their job is to make sure NO ONE disturbs the peace. When you send correspondence to any higher up (even to the almighty $ociety) it will trickle back down to your local BOE and they'll be told to "deal" with you along with getting a tongue lashing for being bothered by not "dealing" with you the first time.
So to all you would be boat rockers and lurkers, remember the (now pissed off) BOE will have no problem silencing you or throwing you out of the raft with no life preserver.

i stumbled across this site purely by accident...seriously i was looking at arkham city walkthoughs and a few jumps later i end up here.
i though it was a legit society page at first and thought 'what the hell, this will be good for a laugh', but after reading a few posts well...i couldnt stop reading.

I never thought I would
by Kool Jo inwell.....what can i say...after lurking and much research and eventual signing up on this forum...i filled out my fs report for april with average hours and magazines, but i never went out in the ministry.. it feels odd, and i feel bad for filling out time that i knew i never did...i hate the idea of going out to people's door and telling them a lie...not sure how much longer i can do this for .
just had to vent!.
